ANDRE KOEN is an energetic presenter, a powerful communicator, and a dynamic teacher. There are many words that describe him. The most illustrative is “Andre, the Enkindled Spirit”. Andre is a diversity trainer in Minnesota. He provides face-to-face and online courses on diversity education including leadership development, empowerment training, cross-cultural competence, sensitivity training, anti-racism training and team building. Most of his clients include professionals needing continuing education credits. His weekly blog includes ideas for controlling, removing, and fighting discrimination. Koen also offers one-on-one training and coaching.
BRIAN JOST, owner of Pod Launcher Studios, began recording audio in 1997 as he learned to play guitar, writing and recording music with friends while attending the University of North Dakota (UND) in Grand Forks. He graduated from UND in 2000 with a B.S. degree in Aeronautics and Commercial Aviation. Brian then worked briefly as a flight instructor in Spokane, Washington and a charter pilot in Barrow, Alaska. He pursued further audio education and graduated from Full Sail University (Winter Park, FL) in 2002 where he received an A.S. degree in Audio Recording and Engineering. Brian continued to use his audio engineering skills in his free time while working as a flight instructor and charter pilot in Aberdeen, South Dakota, followed by a move to Portland, Oregon where he worked as an audio engineer is a commercial recording studio. He bounced back into aviation again as a flight instructor in Duluth, Minnesota. In 2005 his life was turned upside down as he received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Brian shares his personal journey in his memoir “Grounded by Bipolar Disorder; One Pilot’s Landing.” Brian was hired by the nonprofit organization NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in 2012 where he continues to work part-time producing the “Mental Health in Minnesota” podcast by NAMI Minnesota. Through Pod Launcher Studios, Brian helps individuals and organizations produce their own podcasts.
